Sunbury auction of rarities

Sunbury resident and Vision Performance auto repair shop owner Alan Sauvarin auctioned some interesting collectible items from his workshop and inventory on Monday, December 16, including a blue 1975 Vespa and side car and a rare 1969 Harley-Davidson Servi-Car police special.

Mr Sauvarin bought the two vehicles about 15 years ago, attracted to the unique look of the bikes and the history associated with the rare Servi-Car, which was imported from the United States.

This type of three-wheeled utility motorcycle was originally used as a service and tow vehicle, then evolving into a police vehicle – as seen in Mr Sauvarin’s collection.
