Musos, metalheads and more are gearing up for Sunbury’s Record Fair.

This massive event will include over 20,000 records, LPS, 45s, CDs, tapes, books, videos, memorabilia and shirts for sale, with over 25 professional and amateur vendors selling.

There will be a wide range of genres on offer, including blues, country, soul, punk, metal, pop, post-punk, dance and more, from the ‘30s through to recent releases.

Event organiser Marsden Williams said there’s something for everyone.

“There’s everything from AC/DC to ZZ Top and all places in between,” he said.

Mr Williams has recently taken over planning the event, which is run by the Sunbury Radio Station.

The second for the year, he plans for these to be run thrice a year, with funds raised through the event going towards the Sunbury Radio station, to help them with everything from the coffee and tea to keeping a roof over their heads.

“It’s huge, it’s going to be a really big (event),” Mr Williams said.

Sunbury Radio will also be broadcasting live from the venue on the day.

Mr Williams said the event is one not to be missed.

“Come along and support Sunbury Radio and pick up a bargain,” he said.

The Sunbury Record Fair will be held on Sunday, June 15 at 11am until 4pm, at the Sunbury Social Club, 47 Riddell Road, Sunbury. There will be a $3 entry fee at the door, with bringing both cash and card recommended.
