School holiday fun

Kids across Sunbury have been enjoying a well earned back over the school holidays.

As kids look for ways to stay warm during the winter break, Sunbury Square has been hosting a range of activities that have been keeping kids entertained.

Over the two weeks, kids have been dazzled by a magic show that drew huge crowds on Wednesday, July 9, while arts and crafts took over the second week of the holidays.

Both craft sessions held a winter theme, with the first being snow globe making on Monday, July 14, followed by snowman bookmark making on Tuesday, July 15.

Talented kids put their creativity to the test and created their very own winter themed crafts, all while staying warm inside.

Alongside activities every school holidays, Sunbury Square also runs activities throughout the year for major holidays, including Easter themed crafts, Lady of Hearts roaming the centre giving out Valentine’s Day gifts to visitors, and roving pumpkins trick or treating for Halloween.

On Christmas, the Christmas Tree Decorating Project fills the square with trees designed by the local primary schools.

There’s also Morning Melodies every second Thursday of the month at the Square, with local talents InSync performing.
