Romsey’s Sand Art Gallery is welcoming spring to the Macedon Ranges.

Sculptor of 15 years and gallery co-owner Leo Vamvalis has been busy crafting sand sculptures of daffodils.

Fellow co-owner Rosie Gallicchio said the duo had been inspired by nature.

“Daffodils are popping up everywhere … and they’re so beautiful – so we wanted to create them in the sand,” Ms Gallicchio said.

The sand daffodils will be around as long as the weather permits.

“Like all good daffodils, they die off,” Rosie said with a laugh.

Sand Art Gallery is open seven days a week from 10.30am-5pm. Admission is $10 for adults, under 12s are free.
