Rotarians in swing for charity golf day

Golfers are being encouraged to tee off for charity, with proceeds from Sunbury Rotary Club’s annual golf day to benefit up-and-coming champions of sport and the arts.

Olympic gold medallist diver Chantel Michel, golfers Mark Jackson and Courtney Gay, and pianist Adam Przewlocki are among those previously supported by the club’s sport and recreation foundation.

Acting club president David Allan says the event, at Goonawarra Golf Club from 11.30am on April 22, is a great chance for men and women to get together, have some fun and raise money for a good cause.

Competitions will include longest drive, nearest the pin, and hole-in-one.

Entry is $45. Details: 0418 992 352
