Roadworks and new speed limit at Bulla Bridge

The Bulla Bridge on Bulla Road will be closed in both directions on Sunday and Monday night in order for resurfacing works to be completed.

The roadworks will be carried out from 8.30pm to 5.30am on Sunday, January 16 and Monday January 17.

The resurfacing effort will see the road closed between Bulla Diggers Rest Road (at Leomans Road) and Oaklands Road.

“These works will require the complete closure of the bridge, so please plan ahead and expect long delays,” A Department of Transport spokesperson said.

A new speed limit of 40 kilometres per hour will be enforced around the work site, with VicRoads confirming that this new limit will become the permanent enforceable speed limit on the road following the conclusion of the works.

VicRoads is requesting that drivers use alternate routes such as the Western Ring Road, the Calder Freeway and Vineyard Road for the extent of the roadwork period.
