Naomi Carr has nursed hundreds of animals at the Greendale Wildlife Shelter. But it’s an expensive process and the shelter can’t exist without the support of animal lovers, Ms Carr says.

“We rely 100 per cent on donations and we go through a lot of money for special formulas and things like that.”

A fundraising shopping tour of Melbourne’s CBD has been organised with a portion of store purchases to be donated to the shelter.

A shoppers’ bus headed to 12 CBD stores leaves Melton Civic Centre, 232 High Street, at 7.30am this Saturday. Tickets cost $42.

As well, a wildlife rescue training session will be held on Saturday, October 29, from 9am-6pm, at Greendale fire station, Prince Street. Training costs $40.
