Gisborne Library is set to receive $457,000 in funding.
The Gisborne Library Meeting Space Renewal will create a modern, accessible, multi-functional space. Key upgrades include improved accessibility, upgraded technology, sustainable infrastructure, and extended hours for the Gisborne Genealogical Group.
The project will expand programming, promote inclusivity, and strengthen the library as an educational and social hub.

Goldfields Libraries engagement and operations manager Jess Saunders said this significant funding is a welcome boost to Gisborne Library.
“The Gisborne Library Meeting Space Renewal project represents a transformative step forward in our community,” she said.
“By creating a modern, accessible and multi-functional environment, this project not only enhances the library’s role as a vital educational and social hub, but also ensures it meets the evolving needs of all residents.
“With upgraded technology, sustainable infrastructure, and extended hours for the Gisborne Genealogical Group, the renewal will foster greater inclusivity, expand programming opportunities, and strengthen community connections for years to come.”
Macedon MP Mary-Anne Thomas celebrated the achievement for the library.
“This funding will provide immense benefits for our community and build upon the important work that Gisborne Library continues to achieve through providing safe community spaces and critical education resources,” she said.
