Police seek public assistance

Police are appealing for public help to find a burglar who broke into a Sunbury home on Monday.

Hume Crime Investigation Unit investigators were told two offenders entered a property on Rupertsdale Road about 12.30pm, stealing jewellery and home theatre equipment.

An 18-year-old Dallas man has since been taken into custody and is assisting police with their enquiries.

However, the other offender is still yet to be identified. It is believed he was wearing a dark hooded jumper, blue baggy jeans, a belt and white runners with a dark logo.

He was also carrying a dark satchel and wearing a cap under the hoodie.
