Police appealing for public assistance after injured man found in Kyneton

A 33-year-old Kyneton man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after he was found by a passer-by on Saturday, April 16.

Emergency services were called after the man was discovered on Sturt Street just after 2am, police said.

The man remains in hospital with serious injuries, and police are continuing to investigate and are seeking public assistance.

“Investigators believe the man was hit by a vehicle, which failed to stop at the scene, and are keen to speak to anyone who drove through the area around that time and may have seen a pedestrian,” police said.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or make a report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
