A big shindig is planned for Killara Primary School’s 25th anniversary.
The school will hold a fete to mark the milestone on Friday, October 26, with food, plants, jewellery, crafts and competitions.
Killara Primary School opened in 1993 in what was a rapidly expanding area of housing estates on the north-west fringe of Sunbury.
The school’s roll has expanded from 103 pupils to about 600.
Supervising teacher Robyn Smith said there would be plenty to see and enjoy at the fete.
“There will be everything, from all kinds of stalls, a jumping castle, rock climbing wall, photo booth, dunking tank and a meltdown challenge to community group displays,”
Ms Smith said.
“Guided walks on the hour will showcase our school’s biodiversity.
“This is an opportunity to celebrate the school and its history.”
Wristbands for activities will be available for pre-purchase through the school office until Wednesday, October 24, for $15.
The fete will run from 3.30-7pm on October 26.
