Celebrate Valentine’s Day under the stars at Hanging Rock with a special movie screening of Peter Weir’s Picnic at Hanging Rock.

The film revolves around the disappearance of several schoolgirls and their teacher during a picnic at Hanging Rock on Valentine’s Day in 1900.

Movie goers are encouraged to bring their own picnic for dinner, a chair, rug and a blanket and get cosy as the 1975 drama mystery film is screening.

The Hanging Rock walk will not be open after 7.30pm on the day. Dogs are not permitted at the event and food and drink will not be able to be purchased on site.

The film night is on Saturday, February 15 at Hanging Rock, 139 South Rock Road, Woodend. Gates open at 7pm. The movie will begin at 8.15am.

Tickets cost $25 for adults, $10 for children aged 2-15 years and $60 for a family ticket for two adult and two children.
