Sunbury Road will close overnight for two nights as works take place.
As part of Melbourne Airport’s preparation for the third runway, a new intersection is being built on Sunbury Road to allow for the safe entry and exit of trucks and vehicles onto airport land.
As part of the works, a reduced speed limit of 40km/h is in place, with night works also occurring on select dates.
From 9pm to 5am on Sunday 18 January and Monday 19 January, Sunbury Road will be closed between the Wildwood Road and Oaklands Road roundabouts.
Travellers can divert on Somerton Road during the closure period.
Melbourne Airport asks travellers to plan ahead and expect delays during the third runway works.
