New page for library

A bigger and brighter space awaits book lovers at the revamped Gisborne Library.

The refurbished library includes a new courtyard with decking around a large tree, more indoor floor space, installation of bay windows with inbuilt seating and new carpet.

Macedon MP Mary-Anne Thomas said that the redesigned library, officially opened last week, is now a more open and welcoming place for library members and offers more room for community programs.

“Now more people are able to enjoy what the Gisborne Library has to offer, in a more accessible and comfortable space,” Ms Thomas said. “The Gisborne Library is looking stunning. Visitors can now enjoy a book, study or just relax in the lovely new courtyard or find a spot next to the big picture windows inside.”

Macedon Ranges council received a $364,000 state grant last year towards the $486,000 renovation, as part of the Living Libraries Infrastructure Program.
