Romsey’s Nathan Blair has taken out the titles of both State Apprentice of the Year and Metropolitan Apprentice of the Year.
The 22-year-old carpenter received the Master Builders Victoria awards at a ceremony at Etihad Stadium earlier this month.
Master Builders chief executive Radley de Silva said Nathan exemplified the skills, work ethic and positive attitude required to be a successful tradesperson in the building and construction industry.
“Nathan shows commitment and drive in his work, which will hold him in good stead for a busy and productive career,” Mr de Silva said.
Nathan has completed a carpentry apprenticeship at local business Mt Gisborne Homes and is studying at Skill Training Victoria.
He will represent Victoria at the National Excellence Building and Construction Awards in Adelaide in November.
