Money for nothing, and your waste for free

Hume clean day returns this weekend in Sunbury and Campbellfield.

Running from 8am to 4pm On Saturday, September 6, the free disposal day allows residents and residential ratepayers to drop off items including couches, mattresses, tyres and up to four cubic metres of garden clippings.

Hume clean days are held quarterly on the first weekend of March, June, September and December, at both the Sunbury and Campbellfield Resource Recovery clCentres.

To participate, proof of Hume residency is required, such as a driver’s licence or rates notice.

Ratepayers living outside of Hume can also access the program, provided they bring both their rates notice and a form of ID.

Limits apply, with a maximum of 15 bulky items accepted per household per event. Certain materials – such as palm trees, thorny plants, large stumps, and food or timber waste – will not be taken free of charge.

Trucks and commercial quantities are not permitted.
