Get ready for another paw-some year of RSCPA’s Million Paws Walk, with 10,000 Victorians and their pooches, including from Sunbury and the Macedon Ranges, set to take part.

The event is taking place on Sunday, May 22, raising funds for the thousands of animals in RSPCA shelters.

RSPCA Victoria CEO, Dr Liz Walker, said she can’t wait to be welcoming people back to events across Victoria.

“We know people love their pets and that they make people’s lives better. There is nothing better for people or their dogs than getting out for a walk,” Dr Walker said.

“At Million Paws Walk, people are not only doing something good for themselves and their dogs, but they are also helping to make life better for other animals.”

There’s even 20 per cent of this year’s registration fee until April 26.

Million Paws Walk events are happening in both regional and metro areas that are well worth travelling to to take part, including Bendigo, Eildon, Geelong, Hamilton, Mansfield, Mornington Peninsula, Traralgon, Wangaratta, and at Albert Park Lake in Melbourne.

RSPCA will also be running a virtual challenge titled Walk This May for those who can’t attend the event, asking owners to walk their pups for charity throughout the month.

“There’s no better feeling than seeing your dog’s tail wagging ready for a walk and you’ll love taking your best friend out to raise funds for an important cause,” Dr Walker said.
