Mick Thomas to headline 2018 Macedon Ranges Music Festival

There will be something for fans of all types of music at the 2018 Macedon Ranges Music Festival.

This year’s line-up features everything from folk and jazz, to blues and pop/rock, performed by national and local talent.

Mick Thomas of Weddings, Parties, Anything will headline the festival. Adelaide’s six-piece indie folk group The Winter Gypsy is making the trip interstate for the event.

Grim Fawkner, Wesley Fuller and the Naturally Cool Big Band are local representatives eager to take to the stage.

Artists, festival staff and organisers are all volunteering their efforts so that 100 per cent of ticket sales can be donated to the Cambodian Kids Foundation.

Last year’s festival raised close to $20,000 for the Woodend-based organisation.

The 2018 event will take place at Gisborne Steam Park on Saturday, March 3.

The all-ages event will offer musical performances from noon-10pm, local beer, wine and ciders, food stalls and kids activities.

A Youth Stage competition will also be held, with prizes up for grabs – including the opening slot of the 2019 festival.

Tickets cost $25 for an adult, $20 concession, Children under 12 are admitted free.
