A man died when his car and a tow truck collided in Gisborne last night.
Emergency services were called to Gisborne-Melton Road, south of Couangalt Road, just after 6pm.
Police have been told the driver of the car crossed to the wrong side of the road and collided head on with a tow truck.
The driver of the car died at the scene.
