Man charged over alleged carjacking in Macedon

A man has been charged by police in relation to an alleged carjacking in Macedon on Sunday, January 22.

Police said emergency services were called to Black Forest Drive after a man was found injured by passers-by about 5.30pm.

“The victim was hospitalised with serious injuries, after the alleged assault and theft of his car,” police said.

“A 38-year-old Kangaroo Flats man has been charged with theft of a motor car, possess prescription drugs and commit an indictable offence whilst on bail.”

The Kangaroo Flats man has been bailed to appear at Kyneton Magistrates’ Court on April 11.
