The recently formed Malmsbury Progress Association (MPA) is increasing in membership, with approximately 40 local members now signed up, including several local traders.
Established in December last year , MPA president Ross Cornell leads a hard working seven member committee, whose primary focus is advocating for local residents, traders and community groups.
“We all know that dealing with government and large organisations can be challenging at the best of times, so we aim to truly represent locals and groups – to advocate on their behalf,” Mr Cornell said.
With the MPA’s mission “to improve outcomes for the Malmsbury community by encouraging, planning and implementing initiatives that enhance all dimensions of the town,” membership is rapidly expanding.
“And it’s not expensive to join with membership prices starting at $10 per person,” Mr Cornell said.
The MPA will hold a sausage sizzle at 1pm, at the Malmsbury Botanic Gardens following a stall at the Malmsbury Markets on Sunday March 16. BYO refreshments. Everyone is welcome.
