Malmsbury Primary School has received almost $600,000 for maintenance works.
Macedon MP Mary-Anne Thomas announced the school was one of 49 to share in over $17.3 million of funding from the Planned Maintenance Program, which funds high-priority maintenance works across Victoria’s government schools.
The funding allows schools to undertake essential work in classrooms and other school buildings such as fixing roofs and replacing windows, maintaining ramps, painting and resurfacing floors, as well as some external works like improving pathways.
Malmsbury Primary School received $570,799 for works on the school’s Shelter-in-Place building, including ceiling repair, painting works, revarnishing works, roof works and stormwater works.
“I’m delighted to see Malmsbury Primary School share in Planned Maintenance Funding to continue to give our students top quality facilities,” Ms Thomas said.
Works are determined by a rolling facilities evaluation process, which provides up-to-date information on the condition of schools.
Including this latest round of funding, the program has funded $65.2 million for 211 projects at 207 schools in 2025.
