McEwen MP Rob Mitchell recently announced the Macedon Ranges council will be allocated $1,441,216 via the local roads and community infrastructure program.

This allocation is part of a $4.7 million in funding awarded to McEwen as part of the round four of the program.

Mr Mitchell said the funding is a big win for the community.

“We know what a difference good local roads and facilities can make to our communities,” he said.

“I look forward to working with Macedon Ranges Shire Council to get on with the work of delivering the infrastructure our community needs and deserves.”

This funding is part of $500 million the federal government is providing to councils to spend on local roads and infrastructure.

The local roads and infrastructure program helps councils to deliver on priority projects, while also supporting jobs and continued benefits for the community.

Funding will be available from July and projects are to be delivered on by June 2025.
