Macedon Primary School hosted its first writers festival last week, paying tribute to Van Gogh’s Seasons artwork.
The pupils wrote pieces inspired by the four seasons, which they then accompanied with their own artworks.
The wider community was invited to the school last Thursday to show off the children’s written and artistic skills.
Teacher Cathy Kean said an external writing teacher had been working at the school to expand the pupils’ writing abilities.
“We’ve been on a journey of developing the children as writers,” Ms Kean said.
