Local businesses take home top awards

The winners of the Macedon Ranges Community Choice Awards have been announced.

Residents and visitors were invited to nominate the businesses they believe exemplified excellence in service, with 67 local businesses nominated.

The public was able to vote for their favourites, and after a two-month voting period, the winners were decided across the five categories.

Josh’s Rainbow Eggs took home the Agribusiness and Primary Production Award; Macedon Ranges Aqua Aerobics received the Health and Wellbeing Award; Woodend Cellar and Bar won the Hospitality and Accommodation Award; Riddells Creek Nursery was awarded the Professional, Retail and Service Award; and Magnum Signs took home the Trades and Manufacturing Award.

Macedon Ranges mayor Dom Bonanno congratulated the winners.

“These businesses have been voted by community members in recognition of their outstanding service, and these awards are a demonstration of how a little excellent customer service goes a long way,” he said.

“We’re incredibly proud of the passion, dedication and high standards demonstrated by all nominees, and we thank them for the important role they play in contributing to the vibrancy of our shire.”

Council also extended its congratulations to all the businesses who were nominated.

“Being recognised by the community is an achievement in itself, and each nomination reflects the positive impact these businesses have on the lives of residents and visitors alike,” Cr Bonanno said.

“Their dedication to outstanding service helps strengthen the spirit and identity of the Macedon Ranges.”
