Goldfields Libraries is inviting the Macedon Ranges community to share their life in lockdown experiences.

The organisation is on a mission to collect and record the experiences of life as locals navigate their way through the COVID-19 pandemic.

So far more than 60 contributions have bee made, including poems, sketches and postcards that all reflect society’s new normal.

Contributions will be put together in an online book, printed book and travelling exhibition.

Goldfield Libraries’ engagement manager Lucy Mayes said the project aimed to record residents’ varied experiences of lockdown life.

“We are hoping to create a really diverse record of this moment in history, and we welcome contributions from anyone living in the Goldfields Libraries region,” she said.

“The contributions we’ve received so far are insightful and we think it’s shaping up to be a really interesting reflection on how the pandemic has affected our community.”

To share you experiences, email programs@ncgrl.vic.gov.au or visit ncgrl.vic.gov.au/lifeinlockdown for more information.
