Latest scoop on chilling disappearance

Police have the latest scoop on the whereabouts of two stolen ice cream cones.

The large ice cream cones were allegedly stolen from the front of a store at 2am on Hotham Street, East Melbourne on Sunday, May 25.

The 1970s cones were recovered at a Gisborne address on Tuesday, June 3, after police executed a search warrant at an address in Templestowe Lower the previous night.

A 50-year-old man was arrested and interviewed in relation to the theft.

Police said he was released and is expected to be charged on summons.

The cones, which have been in the shop front for about 50 years, had allegedly been sold online.

They will now be returned to the store.
