The Lancefield Parkrun has returned and will be welcoming runners, joggers, walkers, spectators and volunteers back tomorrow at 8am.

Tyson Doyle is the co-director and would love more volunteers to get involved in the free event, and said it’s wonderful to be a part of the initiative.

“It felt like family to me from the very first day I walked in,” Mr Doyle said.

He said the atmosphere is wonderful, and it encouraged him to be his best self.

“You don’t have to run, it’s not a running event as such – it’s walking, it’s running, people bring their dogs on leads, there’s no limits or expectations,” he said.

There’ll even be coffee and muffins available to purchase on the day.

Make your way to Lancefield Park, 62 Chauncey St, Lancefield every Saturday at 8am for the fun run.
