Macedon MP Mary-Anne Thomas has pledged more than half a million dollars towards upgrades at Lions Park Reserve in Romsey should Labor be re-elected in November.

In a statement, the government said the redevelopment of the reserve would include an upgraded skatepark, “that the whole community can be proud of”.

“A re-elected Andrews Labor government will back local parks, with up to $550,000 to redevelop Lions Park Reserve in Romsey,” Ms Thomas said.

The government said local parks were the “lifeblood” of many towns, allowing families to spend time together outdoors.

“Lions Park Reserve is a great community asset, and this funding will help revitalise and improve it for everyone,” the government said.
