Labor has promised $1.5 million to build new changerooms and courts for Kyneton Netball Club should the party retain government at the state election later this month.

Macedon MP Mary-Anne Thomas made the announcement on Sunday, November 6, saying the investment would encourage more local women and girls into community sport.

“[They will know] they can access brand new changeroom facilities and a fantastic new playing surface,” she said.

“The Kyneton Tigers have been instrumental in fighting for new female facilities for their netballers, to ensure women and girls have everything they need to play the sport they love.”

Community Sport Minister Ros Spence said the party was proud to be injecting “new life” into local communities by delivering “more modern, accessible infrastructure and facilities”.
