Kyneton’s historical Piper Street will play host to a party on the weekend of October 20 and 21 when the sixth annual Kyneton Music Festival takes place.
The Bluestone Theatre will be the scene of the crime on the Friday, before the party moves to St Paul’s Park and Major Tom’s bar on the Saturday.
This year marks the second time the park will host a range of artists for the event.
Festival organiser Rob Jones said a broad range of contemporary music including pop, country and blues, will feature at the festival.
Local artists such as King Maxwell, Marty McKenna and Golden Sounds are among this year’s line-up.
Melbourne bands Loose Tooth, The Twoks, The Wardens, Cash Savage and The Last Drinks, and The Cactus Channel can also be expected.
Mr Jones said that in the past the festival had drummed up about 500 attendees, a third of which were local.
