Kyneton District Health has been recognised for its outstanding performance.

The hospital was awarded the title of the Premier’s Small Health Service of the Year at the Victorian Public Healthcare Awards last week.

Kyneton District Health chief executive Maree Cuddihy said she was proud of the hospital’s staff, board and volunteers.

“We’ve done a lot of work together in recent years to become an award-winning hospital that our community trusts and is engaged with,” Ms Cuddihy said.

“We continue to build on our best care in the little things we do day-in, day-out, and by not being afraid to innovate and try bold new things.”

Since its start in 1854, the hospital has undergone a number of developments, including relocation to a new site on Caroline Chisholm Drive in 2003.

Kyneton District Health’s 2017 annual meeting will be held on Thursday, November 16, from 7pm in the hospital’s Ambulatory Care Centre.

The meeting is open to the community. Among the topics to be discussed will be what the award means to Kyneton.
