House alight in Sunbury fire

A car fire in a garage spread to a two-storey house on Thursday night.

FRV and CFA officers responded to an incident on Balmoral Circuit, Sunbury at 7.51pm on Thursday, June 19.

Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to the Triple Zero call, to find the double-storey house fully alight.

All occupants were accounted for.

Firefighters attacked the fire from the ground and also from above, using an aerial appliance as they fought to bring it under control.

Crews ensured all adjoining properties were protected from any fire or smoke.

The incident was under control at 9.34pm.

Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria, and power and gas companies were also on scene.
