A new support service has been launched to provide financial support to people recovering from this year’s storms.

Established by Bushfire Recovery Victoria, the Storm and Flood Financial Counselling Program connects storm-affected individuals with an expert that can help stabilise your finances and reduce stress.

Macedon Ranges council chief executive Bernie O’Sullivan said the costs of the storm clean-up were ongoing for many residents.

“If the costs of clean up and recovery are playing on your mind or causing you any anxiety, reach out and use the Storm and Flood Financial Counselling Program. Don’t wait until things are dire before accessing this service,” he said.

The program is available on the Storm and Flood Recovery Hotline (1800 560 760) from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
