Hume council will host a series of activities in Sunbury this month, offering an antidote for school holiday boredom among local youth.
For those aged 12–18, a Mario Kart and mini games competition will be hosted by the council’s youth services program at the Sunbury Youth Centre from 1–4pm on Wednesday, April 16.
Along with Mario Kart, participants can put their skills on show and face off with others across Uno, table tennis, pool and several other games.
At Sunbury Library, a range of free activities for younger people of varying ages will be hosted across the two school holiday weeks.
These include the crafternoon program from 1.30pm on Tuesday, April 8; a comic panelling workshop from 3pm on Wednesday, April 9; an afternoon event with magician Charlie SillyPants from 3pm on Thursday, April 10, a silent disco at 1pm and Haunted High-themed escape room sessions on Wednesday, April 16; and domino sessions on Thursday, April 17.
Bookings are essential for all activities and can be made on the Hume council and Hume Libraries websites.
