Help shape Kyneton South

Kyneton South residents are being invited to have their say on the future of their end of town.

Macedon Ranges mayor Jennifer Anderson said the council’s Kyneton South draft plan would provide important insights into the constraints and opportunities of planning in the suburb.

“The consultation will ensure that any future planning for potential growth … reflects the town’s valued character, is responsive to wider township needs and adequately considers transport connections, recreational spaces and conservation areas,” she said.

The Kyneton South draft plan, now out for public comment, provides a framework to guide planning for transport connections, open spaces and community infrastructure.

“The draft plan aims to safeguard the integrity of Kyneton’s character – from its streets and spaces, to the quality of the surrounding landscapes,” Cr Anderson said.

“I’d encourage residents to get involved in the process and have their say.”

Council will also roll out an online and door-to-door survey to ask the community questions about aspects of living in Kyneton and questions regarding servicing needs now and into the future.
