Romsey Ecotherapy Park Inc has launched a fundraising campaign for it’s Art In the Park – A Legacy That Matters display to keep seven art pieces installed at the park.

The group needs to raise $186,000 to keep an array of unique artworks, designed predominately by local artists and curated especially for the park, on display.

Campaign spokesperson Jenny Stillman said with construction of stage two of the park due to start early next year, funding to retain the artworks needed to be secured as soon as possible.

“The funding for these amazing installations needs to be secured before the next stage’s tendering process commences in February 2021,” she said.

“The art is a critical part of what will set this [park] apart from all others in the Macedon Ranges.

“Those supporting Art in the Park are helping consolidate Romsey Ecotherapy Park as a truly unique, cultural and wellbeing asset for the region.”

Funding from the state and federal governments, Macedon Ranges council and the Romsey and Lancefield Bendigo Bank branches has been secured for stage two of the Romsey Ecotherapy Park development.

Stage one, which included an active nature space, is complete.
