Tributes are flowing for a Kyneton mother killed in an alleged domestic violence incident last month.
Family and friends have taken to social media to share their love for 41-year-old Alicia Little and the heartbreak caused by her death.
Sister Bronson Little posted a statement on Facebook on behalf of the family.
“It’s been very hard to take in that we have lost our sister, a mother, daughter, aunty, cousin, niece and great friend to so many people,” Bronson Little wrote. “Our family are heartbroken.”
A post by friend Kelly Maynard described Alicia as “an easy person to love” and “so intelligent and caring”.
Police allege Charles McKenzie Ross Evans, 44, murdered Alicia by hitting her with a car at her Lavenders Lane property in Kyneton on Thursday, December 28. Evans was arrested and charged with a single count of murder.
Detective Acting Sergeant Leigh Smyth told Melbourne Magistrates Court the day after the incident that police had gone to the property following reports of a “domestic violence incident”. The court heard Alicia had also called police for help.
The court heard emergency services found Alicia unconscious and unable to be revived. Police allege an autopsy revealed the mother died of blunt force trauma consistent with being struck by a motor vehicle.
Evans appeared before Bendigo Magistrates Court last week. He was remanded pending a committal mention in Bendigo on May 16.
