Meredith Grant will step down from her role as RM Begg Aged Care Kyneton chief executive next month.
Ms Grant has worked at the home in a number of roles since 2007.
She joined RM Begg as a registered nurse, then moved into a position as a clinical care co-ordinator, before assuming the role of chief executive officer in 2020.
RM Begg board chair Phillip Irvine said Ms Grant had provided a “pivotal” contribution to ensuring the home’s high-standards of care were met.
“Meredith’s resignation is a great loss to the organisation, but the board respects and supports her decision to devote more time to her own family after having given so much to RM Begg,” Mr Irvine said.
“Meredith has led the organisation through difficult times, including the public disclosure last year of RM Begg’s serious financial challenges.
“The board is sure that the extended RM Begg community will join in thanking Meredith very much for her care and dedication, and in wishing her the very best for the future.”
RM Begg confirmed a process is now underway to find a replacement for Ms Grant.
