A Macedon Ranges group is seeking donations of toys as it reaches out to families in need this Christmas.
New books, plush toys and smaller items suitable as stocking fillers are also needed for a Christmas toy shop, organised by the Combined Churches of the Macedon Ranges and operating out of Kyneton Baptist Church.
The shop, which has been operating for five years, gives families referred by support agencies the chance to select toys for their children.
Spokeswoman Georgina Harvey, pictured, said more than 130 families were helped last year.
‘‘As with each year, we anticipate the need to be even greater,’’ she said.
The toy shop is 100 per cent dependent on community donations. Gifts must be new and valued about $20. Details: 0404 442 891
