Gisborne vets helping homeless people’s pets

Animal lovers can help the pets of people who are doing it tough, with Gisborne Veterinary Clinic now a designated drop-off point for Pets of the Homeless Melbourne.

Veterinary nurse Kim Szatkowski and volunteer Kristin Kerr – pictured with dogs Tzubi and Jensen – have set up the Gisborne in-store donation depot.

Pets of the Homeless Melbourne seeks to raise awareness and help the pets of people who are homeless or at risk of losing their homes.

Items on the organisation’s wish list include dog and cat food, toys, flea and worming treatments, bedding, snap-lock bags, collars, leashes and waterproof jackets.

Donations can be left at the Gisborne clinic in Robertson Street.
