Gisborne locals have won the 2022 REC solar awards installation of the year, which recognises excellence in the solar industry across Australia and New Zealand.
The awards were held on May 1 at Taronga Zoo in Sydney, with local residents Chantel and Josh Gilbert taking out the top prize for their company Bluegum Electrical Solutions.
Mr and Mrs Gilbert won the prize for the 35kW solar system installed on their family home, which features 87 Alpha panels, Fronius Gen24 Symo inverter and a BYD battery with a storage capacity of 44kWh.
Bluegum chief executive Mrs Gilbert said the award is a testament to the hard work of all team members.
“We are over the moon to have won the Installation of the Year at the REC Solar Awards,” Mrs Gilbert said.
“Our team worked hard to deliver an exceptional installation, and this award is a testament to their expertise.”
The company claimed the REC Alpha Series Residential Installation of the Year ANZ 2022 award in recognition of the quality, expertise, and aesthetics system which it designed and installed.
