In its tenth year – and despite a few COVID-19 related interruptions – the Woodend Whole Town Garage Sale is back on Saturday, February 25.

With nearly 50 houses registered and put on the Whole Town Garage Sale map last year, Woodend locals are encouraged to sign up again for just $5 through the Woodend Neighbourhood House (WNH).

WNH president Jenny Kerr said the whole town event was always “a lot of fun” and a great way to connect with neighbours and the community.

“Sellers get to move on items they no longer need, and shoppers have the best fun finding pre-loved treasures,” Ms Kerr said.

“This year we’ll be selling sausages, cakes and bric-a-brac from the front of the House so the bargain hunting can begin from the moment the shoppers pick up a map.”

As the saying goes, one household’s trash may just be another’s treasure – so when registering, seller’s can list 10 words to describe the items they’ve got on offer.

And for early birds, sellers can specify how long they’ll be running their sale for, so they can go for as long or as short a time as they’d like.

Maps showing the addresses, opening times and brief details of each garage sale will go on sale from 8am to 12.30pm at the house on the day, and are just $5 each.
