A new volunteer resource centre has opened in Kyneton.

The centre will offer free advice and guidance about volunteer roles across the Macedon Ranges.

Cobaw Community Health chief executive Margaret McDonald said it was for all community members who are interested in volunteering and provided a “great opportunity to increase volunteers.”

The centre will also offer support, coaching and resources to organisations looking to recruit potential volunteers.

“Volunteering not only benefits the organisation you are helping, but is a great way to make new friends, learn new skills, find new levels of fulfilment and self-confidence as well as become more connected with your community,” Ms McDonald said.

“It offers an opportunity to connect and engage.”

The centre is open at the Kyneton library, 3 Baynton Street every Wednesday between 10am-4pm.
