A 22-year-old Burnside Heights woman and a 20-year-old Deer Park woman are among four women charged with multiple offences over an assault that left a policewoman hospitalised.

The sergeant and a male constable were responding to a noise complaint from a party being held at a short-term rental accommodation in Glen Iris just after 5am Sunday, January 10.

They followed and intercepted a car leaving the premises at which point four women got out of the car and argued with the officers before allegedly assaulting them.

A 20-year-old Melton South woman, 21-year-old Point Cook woman, 22-year-old Burnside Heights woman and a 20-year-old Deer Park woman have been charged with multiple offences including assault police, intentionally cause injury and unlawful assault.

All four were bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on July 29.
