Woodend Neighbourhood House is hosting two workshops to help make sure the community is always prepared.
The emergency planning workshops aim to strengthen local emergency preparedness, in the way the community responds to emergencies and disasters.
The two-part workshop will focus on practical, real-world scenarios and highlight the strengths already present within the community – ensuring that if disaster strikes, locals are ready to support each other.
Delivered by Reg Flag in partnership with the Woodend Neighbourhood House and Macedon Ranges council’s emergency response management and recovery team, these sessions will strengthen community self-sufficiency by drawing on local knowledge, skills and resources.
Attendance at both sessions is preferable.
The first session, Emergency Response Workshop will be held on Tuesday, July 8 from 6.30pm to 8pm.
The second session will be the Emergency Scenario Exercise, and will be held on Tuesday, July 15 from 6pm to 8pm.
Both sessions will be held at the Woodend RSL, 32 Anslow Street, Woodend.
To RSVP, contact the Woodend Neighbourhood House on 5427 1845.
