A Sunbury man had started to think his regular TattsLotto numbers were “duds” until he recently checked his ticket and discovered he had won a division one prize.

The local man held one of the seven division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4465 on Saturday, May 4. Each division one winning entry scored $703,314.88.

“I’ve checked this ticket about 10 times,” the winning man said when an official from The Lott called to confirm his win.

“I’ve been playing these numbers for years. I was starting to think they were dud numbers as they never won anything, but I kept playing them.

“It takes a while to sink in.”

While the winner had yet to make any concrete plans for his prize, he said he hoped to use the prize to make life easier for himself and others around him.

“It’s going to come in handy, that’s for sure,” he said.

“I probably won’t be shopping at Aldi anymore.”

The man’s winning entry was purchased at Sunbury Square Lotto and News at the Sunbury Square Shopping Centre.

Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4465 – four in Victoria, two in Queensland and one in New South Wales.
