A person has died following a car crash in Woodend this morning.
It is believed the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree on The Avenue of Honour about 6.35am.
The driver, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene. The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
The Avenue of Honour is closed to traffic between Savages Lane and the Calder Freeway until further notice.
