Dons touch down in Macedon

Essendon fans of the Macedon Ranges were treated to an afternoon watching their stars last week.

Those brave enough to bear the heat would have caught the Dons in action at the foot of Mt Macedon as part of the club’s two-day training camp in the region.

Despite a number of key players such as Darcy Parish, Andy McGrath and Zach Merrett absent from the team trip, those in attendance would have been glad to see fan favourites Jake Stringer and Stephen Coniglio strut their stuff.

The Bombers will be hoping to improve on last season after losing the first round of the finals against the Western Bulldogs.

The 2022 season will begin on March 16.
