Diggers Rest armed robbery witness appeal

Victoria Police is asking for public assistance after a supermarket was robbed in Diggers Rest last month.

Police believe an unknown offender armed with a knife approached a staff member outside a supermarket on Glitters Road about 8.15pm on Saturday, October 5.

The offender threatened the victim and dragged him into the store, demanding money, police said.

The offender ran from the scene with the cash and tripped over while running along Welcome Road.

No one was physically injured.

The offender is described as being Caucasian in appearance and approximately 175cm tall with a slim build.

He was last seen wearing grey pants, a black wind breaker with a Nike logo, and black work boots.

Police investigators have released an image and CCTV of a man they believe can assist with enquiries.
